Stability of 1,4-butynediol:
1. Chemical properties: reacting with an acid or an acid anhydride to form a monoester, which can undergo electrolytic oxidation, isomerization, halogenation and the like.
2. Anesthetic stimulation of the upper respiratory tract, eye mucosa and skin. Long-term inhalation of vapour at a concentration of 0.008 to 0.01 mg/L will cause lesions of the central nervous system, liver function, and internal tissues. Rabbits and guinea pigs had a maximum allowable concentration of <0.001 mg/L in the air of the LD500.125 mL/kg. The equipment is required to be sealed, the workshop should be forcibly ventilated, and the operator should wear protective equipment.
3. Stability: stable
4. Incompatible materials: strong oxidizing agents, strong bases, acid anhydrides, acid chlorides, mercury salts, strong acids, alkaline earth metals, hydroxides and halides, etc.
5. Conditions to avoid contact: friction, impact
6. Polymerization hazard: no polymerization
